Evidence-based nutrition that fits real life.
Hi, I’m Jenna — a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist (CDCES), and founder of Appel Nutrition.
I help individuals and families build healthier habits through realistic, evidence-based nutrition support that fits into everyday life. I believe healthy living should feel supportive, approachable, and sustainable — not all-or-nothing.
My work focuses on:
• Healthy weight loss & GLP-1 support
• Blood sugar & diabetes care
• Women’s health & fertility nutrition
• Family nutrition & healthy habits
• Building a healthier relationship with food
Before becoming a dietitian, I earned my degree in Business Management & Marketing from the University of Hartford and worked in retail buying and jewelry design. While going back to school for nutrition, I worked as a personal trainer, which helped deepen my passion for helping people improve their health in a realistic and sustainable way. I completed my Master’s degree in Nutrition at Hunter College in New York City and went on to complete my dietetic internship through the University of Virginia Health System.
My background in business, fitness, and nutrition allows me to take a practical, real-life approach to wellness — one that helps clients create habits that actually stick. As both a dietitian and mom, I understand firsthand that healthy living has to work in real life.
My approach is supportive, flexible, and focused on progress over perfection. I love helping people simplify nutrition, feel more confident around food, and build routines that support long-term health without extremes.
Whether you’re working toward personal wellness goals, improving your relationship with food, navigating fertility or diabetes, or creating healthier habits at home, my goal is to help make nutrition feel more realistic, empowering, and sustainable.
